Who We Are

Founded in 2010 by prolific director/producer Henrique Couto

New Dynamic is a production and distribution company based in Dayton, Ohio.

Over 30 films have been produced and/or distributed through New Dynamic since 2023. The majority of which are handled directly by owner Henrique Couto.

In 2019 New Dynamic branched into podcasting with the highly successful Weekly Spooky, a weekly horror fiction and true crime podcast series that in 2022 signed an advertising partnership with iHeartMedia allowing it to grow to publishing on a semi-weekly basis.

In 2020 New Dynamic moved into the publishing space with the anthology horror book Campfire Stories to Tell in the Dark and from there went on to publish multiple books in the horror genre including the Babysitter Massacre book series.

As of 2023 New Dynamic has branched out further into producing in particularly with new filmmakers looking for a break in the industry with the 2022 hit Babe Beach being one of the first in the run.

Things are moving along quickly in this business after bouncing back from the 2020 pandemic.

Henrique Couto

Founder/Owner

A true Renaissance man of independent cinema; Henrique Couto has been involved in all areas of filmmaking from an early age.

Starting out working on his own TV programs on Cable Access at the age of 12, Couto then moved on to shooting his own backyard opuses before creating the feature film Marty Jenkins and the Vampire Bitches which lead to over twenty more directing stints on features running the gamut from horror (Babysitter Massacre, Scarewaves) to family entertainment (A Bulldog for Christmas), as well as comedy (Awkward Thanksgiving, Depression: the Movie), and even a western (Calamity Janes Revenge).

Couto has also served as Writer, Actor, Producer, and more, as well as hosting his own movie program, Popcorn Fodder, which is featured on Tubi.  As well as producer on Found Footage: The Series also on Tubi!

Along with that Henrique has released two albums, mentored burgeoning filmmakers, and is a snappy dresser.

You can call him brillant or bizarre but one things for sure, he’s always working. When asked about his work as a filmmaker he said “I don’t have a cool job, I am a cool job.”
